About me
I am a Bricklayer based in Brighton specialising in older buildings and all their ailments.
I offer a range of services from restoration to general building, and a partial list can be found below. I like to work with Lime Mortars and traditional materials. I offer extensive consultation and advice, and am just at home building new structures as restoring old ones. Some of the services offered can be found below, however please get in touch if what you require isn’t there; I’ll either know how to do it, or know someone who does.

Our older houses are often neglected or actively harmed through the use of modern materials. I'm experienced in restoring structures to their original beauty, strength and soundness. If it's something I can't do personally, I will almost certainly have a close working relationship with someone who can.

I use extensive dust extraction and several methods of removing existing pointing for different types of jobs. I am efficient and provide an excellent quality finish.

I am fully CSCS compliant (meaning I'm qualified and Health and Safety trained). I have access to larger teams that I oversee for larger projects, or for smaller builds I enjoy bringing them to fruition alone.

I am not a member of any damp-proofing organisation, I don't hold any qualifications in the field and nor do I intend to.
I work with knowledgeable surveyors to address the underlying structural causes of the damp- such as filled cavities, failed mortar, broken roofs, raised ground levels etc.
This work is more time consuming, but it actually works.

A much (and unfairly) maligned building material widely found in Brighton. Usually becoming so troublesome due to people not knowing anything about it, or how to approach fixing it. Get in touch for advice, repairs or new structures.
